Welcome to Rail Sim Routes UK, where detailed add-ons for the licence free, open source openBVE, as well as BVE Trainsim, are being developed. On this site you can download the Birmingham Cross-City South route, running from Redditch to Birmingham's busy New Street station, as well as follow progress with the development of the cutting edge Cross-City South v1.4 for openBVE and the southern section of the West Coast Main Line, from Watford Junction to Rugby.

openBVE v1.0.7.1 released; improved performance and new object development features
 openBVE v1.0.7.1 has been released, and I recommend heading over to the official » openBVE homepage « to download the latest release in the stable branch. This version includes a rendering optimisation originally developed for the openBVE 2 engine, which can give an impressive performance increase on various routes. On my system I see framerates increase by 20-46% on Cross-City South v1.32.02 for example, and a range covering 30-160%(!) on Watford Junction to Rugby. New features related to object development are also introduced with openBVE v1.0.7.1...
